Located in the heart of Meaford on 55 Trowbridge Street, is this wonderful business that has chosen to dedicate their time to helping local artists make a name for themselves in the community and commence their career as an artisan. Cameron and his wife Nadia are the co-founders of this company, and had the vision to use their previous experience to help local artists build their network. The couple was aware of the abundance of artists in the area, and they sought to solve the problem of lack of exposure of current talent. Their primary role involves acting as career art administrators that offer support and advice regarding the creation of an art business from scratch, while simultaneously putting artisans in touch with the necessary people to jump start their success in the industry.
They received a generous grant from the Town of Meaford that made this possible, which enables the artisans to learn the properties available for rent if needed. Also, they are currently in collaboration with Renew Meaford, which is a non-profit organization that assists businesses in building themselves and testing a new market Cameron and his wife frequently go to local artisan events to build further connections that will benefit the community, while generating positive word of mouth to the appropriate groups. There are approximately 5-6 artists that are on display at The Hub at any given time, that are rotated by month to give a variety of different artisans exposure.
